Standard Policy

Provide clear and complete requirements and expectations upfront, including reference materials or assets before Work begins.

Grant the Artist non-exclusive rights to observe and replicate Client’s character design and reference material for the Work.

Warrant that the character design and reference material are legally obtained and authorized for use by the Client.

Warrant that they have the authority to enter into this agreement, act as the point of contact, and are solely responsible for decisions and approvals during the process.

Strive to perform to the best of their ability in good faith and warrant that Work is 100% original according to the Artist’s best knowledge.

Use commercially licensed, copyright-free, and/or educational materials, assets, and/or tools.

Warrant that they will not copy or heavily reference unauthorized materials.

Reserve the right to refuse projects or requests based on content, subject, or other reasons.

Define the scope of work, features, price, deliverables, and other details in a proposal format according to the Artist's discretion, which may include private message through Discord or Twitter, VGen platform, Google document, or email.

Details set forth by the Artist must be agreed upon by the Client before work begins.

An upfront cost is required upon signing the contract. This cost must be paid within two business weeks. If payment is not received within this period, the contract will be considered void.

In the event that either party cancels the contract for any reason, the upfront cost is non-refundable to the Client.

The remaining cost is due after the Artist provides a preview of the Work to the Client. The final files will only be transferred to the Client after the remaining payment is received.

Upon transferring the final files, the contract is considered complete, and the Artist has no further obligations to the Client.

One major revision is allowed per item shown to the Client during the process. 

After line art, only minor revisions are allowed. 

Additional charges for excessive revisions may be required. d. Revisions may affect progress and project timeframe.

The Artist retains copyright, ownership, redistribution, and intellectual property rights, including but not limited to display, advertising, printing, the Work, and work in progress on websites, social media, portfolios, public broadcast channels (e.g., Twitch), and more.

Receive exclusive, non-transferable usage rights to the Work for personal use. Refer to Section c. for commercial rights.

Personal use includes display on social media accounts for promotional purposes with no direct monetization such as profile pictures, banners, and posts; print and framing in personal spaces; and display as part of designs on websites and channels, excluding use in content of these websites or channels.

Must not claim Work as their own and must credit Artist using their social tag/username/link at the instance of display of the Work or permanently on their websites, social media profiles, broadcast channels, and so on.

Must not edit or modify Work in any way without prior permission from the Artist.

Commercial usage rights are not included unless specified in the commission type or listing on the Artist’s websites (e.g., Vtuber models, stream overlays, emotes, etc.) or as agreed upon.

Commercial rights include usage of Work on streams or any monetized instances, selling or reselling Work to another party, as part of any product, or on another platform.

Usage of Work for AI (artificial intelligence) tools, platforms or programs, ML (machine learning) tools, or similar technologies is not permitted without explicit permission from the Artist.

Ongoing communication and discussion will occur throughout the project, including work in progress, idea generation, collaboration, situational updates, and more.

Communication channels may include a dedicated commission Discord server, Discord or Twitter private messages, Email, or others, according to the Artist’s discretion. 

Artist response time may vary, up to two weeks, to provide better or more concrete updates.

Character reference sheets, PSD for rigging, mood boards, sample of poses / angles / expressions, any other relevant files or links.

Pose, traits, multiple characters, add-ons, etc.
